Job Title: Engineering Project ManagernnSalary: Up to £56,000 (dependent on experience) + £4,500 car allowancennLocation: Reading or Swindon - with travel across sitesnnType: Permanent, full-time, hybrid site/officennAbout the Role:nnThis is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and skilled professional to manage end-to-end engineering projects across our client's operational sites and estate. You'll oversee the full project lifecycle - from scoping and tendering to construction, commissioning, and handover - ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and delivery.nnAbout the Client:nnOur client is a leading UK utility provider, delivering essential services to millions of customers every day. With a strong commitment to innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence, they are focused on creating a better future for communities, the environment, and their people.nnKey Responsibilities:nnManage and deliver a portfolio of mechanical, electrical, and ICA projects, typically valued between £100,000 and £1 million each.nOversee multiple live projects simultaneously, from concept through to completion.nCollaborate with operational teams and contractors to develop cost-effective, low-risk solutions.nMaintain a zero-compromise approach to health and safety, including monthly audits.nEnsure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and CDM regulations.nLead project construction, financial forecasting, and reporting.nApprove project documentation including risk assessments, method statements, and construction phase plans.nOversee commissioning, training, and handover to operations teams, ensuring all completion documents are provided.

nnWhat Our Client is Looking For:nnBackground in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering (formal qualifications , e.g., BTEC/HND or equivalent experience).nKnowledge of clean water processing and/or wastewater treatment.nStrong stakeholder coordination skills across internal teams and external contractors.nAbility to work independently with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.nUnderstanding of health and safety requirements in construction, including CDM (training can be provided).nProven experience in construction or engineering project management. nnWhat Our Client Offers:nnUp to £56,000 per annum (dependent on experience)n£4,500 per annum car allowancen26 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), rising to 30 with servicenContributory pension scheme (up to 12%)nAnnual personal medical assessmentnAccess to a benefits hub with discounts and wellbeing support nnEligibility:nnFull UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle with business-use insurance (for site travel). nnOpportunity for Growth:nnOur client offers a supportive, inclusive work environment with genuine opportunities for career progression.
