About the Role:
As an Endoscopy Technician, you will work under the guidance of a GI/Endoscopy Nurse to enhance the quality of care for patients undergoing GI/endoscopic procedures. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for patients.
- Understanding and executing high disinfection and sterilization protocols for endoscopic equipment.
- Ensuring the endoscopy unit is fully stocked with necessary equipment and supplies.
- Cleaning treatment rooms and preparing them for subsequent procedures.
- Assisting in labeling and maintaining specimens collected during procedures.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
- Minimum of one year of acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable).
