Essential CSR Functions
- Meet and greet customers.
- Open and process new accounts, including DDA, savings and certificates of deposit.
- Follow procedures prescribed in the Bank's Customer Identification Program.
- Assist customers with online banking needs, such as initial set-up and troubleshooting.
- Cross-sell the Bank's services and products.
- Research and answer customer inquiries; quote products and rates.
- Process customer check orders.
- Assist in answering the telephone and transferring calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Research and verify account information and resolve problems for customers as necessary.
- Perform safe deposit box services.
- Redeem U.S. savings bonds.
- Process collection items.
- Send customer wires.
- Reset customer access on the Voice Response system.
- Assist customers with calls relating to debit cards: ordering, re-ordering, and reporting as lost/stolen.
- Accept deposits, verifying cash and endorsements, and issues receipts
- Cash checks.
- Process credit card advances.
- Process night deposit bags.
- Issue bank checks, gift cards.
- Accept loan payments and safe deposit box rental payments.
- Answer customer inquiries and gives balances.
- Balance teller drawer.
- Revise accounts for existing customers.
- Review deposit file maintenance for accuracy and authenticity.
- Complete logs and forms utilized for Bank Secrecy Act compliance, such as Currency Transaction Reports, suspicious activity reporting forms, monetary instrument sales logs and logs for transactions of $3000 or more.
- Complete funds availability holds notices in accordance with Bank and regulatory requirements.
- Complete stop payments in accordance with Bank and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One-year banking experience, preferably as CSR.
- Understanding of responsibilities under the Bank Secrecy Act; participate in initial and periodic training.
- Interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with customers and other employees.
- Cash handling accuracy.
- Ability to operate on-line teller terminal and other standard office equipment such as a typewriter and 10 key calculator/adding machine.
- Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of Bank records and customer transactions. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Successful completion of teller training and any other compliance training (including BSA) deemed necessary by the Bank.
