Job Summary:
We are PL/SQL Developer to support the
State of New York's Department of Social Services (DSS)
in various critical IT initiatives. The ideal candidates should have 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and SQL statements in Oracle 12c. Additionally, they should have 4+ years of experience in performance tuning, specifically optimizing SQL and PL/SQL code, and 4+ years of experience working with XML processing and object-oriented programming involving large objects. DSS is experiencing a growing demand for comprehensive systems lifecycle application development across various computer platforms. This includes a range of critical systems, such as client eligibility and recertification, employment/work engagement services, and claims management systems, all essential to the operation of DSS programs. Periodic refinements are required to ensure these applications remain at optimal service levels. It is essential to maintain a project portfolio that accurately reflects both the business needs of users and the operational workload of DSS. As a result, there is a need for IT consulting resources to support the expanding responsibilities within DSS. Position Tasks & Duties:
Develop System Design. Develops and prepares documents for the general design of solutions that meet system and security requirements, including selecting alternative approaches. Develops specifications for databases, communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage, and software configurations. Develops structured diagrams for specifying databases, communication systems, computer or storage area networks, and security or network programs. Develop and maintain PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, and SQL statements in Oracle 12c. Develop system documentation. Develop operational and installation procedures for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage, and software. Develop guidelines and upgrade techniques of new operational procedures for supporting databases, hardware systems, operating systems software, network systems software, security, and client-server systems. Develops, compiles, maintains, and documents configurations of databases, servers, computers, security and network monitor systems, packaged programs, macros, utilities, and communication systems. Perform System Coding. Create the program code in the .NET and Low Code Application Platform (LCAP) environments. Provide general programming assistance to other ITS programmers/projects as may be needed. Test and maintain the program code to meet all the functional requirements. Must Have Skills & Experience:

Minimum 4 Years Experience with technical and user documentation and software conversion.
