Job DescriptionJob Summary & ResponsibilitiesMA shall provide services as permitted within the scope of practice for Medical Assistant (MA) Services in accordance with Institution/Facility policies and procedures. Duties/Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to: Assist patient/youth with activities of daily living and provide nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse;Perform and document rounds of patient/youth receiving medical and/or psychiatric care and report changes in patient/youth condition to the RNObtain specimens for diagnostic testingAssist other non-custody staff to provide patient/youth carePrepare documentation for patient/youth transfers to other Institutions/Facilities or trips to specialty appointmentsComplete all required documentation of patient/youth care, provide written or oral reports, and record entries in logbooksClean, maintain, and check equipmentCheck inventory, order and check suppliesRequirementsMUST HAVE STATE CERTIFICATION BY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)American Medical Technologists (AMT)California Certifying Board of Medical Assistants (CCBMA)Multiskilled Medical Certification Institute (MMCI)BLS (American Heart Association)One or more years of MA experienceBenefitsDirect Deposit100% Paid Employee Medical BenefitsWeekly payEligibility for State benefitsAbility to go Temp to perm #ZR
