The Team :
The Hermès South Coast Plaza boutique opened in 1997 and focuses on providing extraordinary service to clients as part of the Western Region. This position reports to the Operations Director and supports the client experience, representing Hermès in all aspects of their duties.
The Opportunity :
The Hospitality Ambassador is responsible for providing unparalleled hospitality by creating a welcoming environment from the front door to the sales floor. The role requires a team player who collaborates with sales associates and supports all elements of hospitality throughout the selling process. The ideal candidate has a natural curiosity, is an excellent multi-tasker, and possesses an exquisite sense of hospitality.
About the Role :
Create an effortless luxury environment, exceeding expectations in all hospitality services
Greet and welcome clients as they enter and leave the boutique
Manage main floor traffic by greeting clients, assessing their needs, and escorting them to the appropriate sales associate or area
Approach all interactions with clients, guests, and colleagues in a gracious, attentive, courteous, and service-oriented manner
Provide bespoke, high-touch hospitality services in collaboration with the sales team
Assist guests with transportation arrangements and support with shopping bags or purchases as needed
Coordinate with Concierge/Host team for car services and provide directions when necessary
Maintain general knowledge of the store and neighborhood
Demonstrate working knowledge of all product categories (métiers)
Offer hospitable services, such as holding umbrellas during inclement weather
Remain alert to client service needs and safety concerns, notifying Asset Protection as necessary
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to support business needs and operational duties
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

About You :
Strong interest in learning about Hermès métiers, history, and art collections
Excellent communication skills, offering warmth and graciousness
Outstanding customer service skills and a friendly disposition
Proactive in caring for customers in a calm, professional, and polite manner
Ability to provide information about the neighborhood, store services, and other inquiries
Experience in a similar retail environment or as a Concierge/Host in high-end settings such as hotels or fine dining
Ability to work collaboratively and thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
High attention to detail and anticipation of customer needs
Knowledge of additional languages is a plus
Flexible schedule according to business needs
Ability to stand for long periods
The pay range for this position is $24.00 to $27.00 per hour. Actual rates depend on the specific role, location, and individual experience.
