North Hill Needham Inc. Position Summary
The Catering Coordinator is responsible for performing activities related to the food venues.
Job Specific Duties
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Performs set-up and breakdown service for events in a timely manner, ensuring rugs, floors, tables and linens are clean Consults with Dining and Catering Manager on staffing needs for functions Assists with customer billing, transactions, and the basic needs of event coordination Transports materials to and from event locations Provides excellent customer service and communication with Residents and guests Addresses customer concerns promptly and courteous Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dining ware, linens, serving ware and work areas Restocks and returns all equipment to appropriate storage areas Provides solutions to problems concerning any issues a Resident may have Answers guests’ questions and handles complaints related to catering services expeditiously Works in dining venues when staffing levels are low Provides caring, thoughtful and engaging service at all times Communicates any challenges, complaints or service difficulties to immediate supervisor Meets department uniform, appearance and grooming requirements Complies with all OSHA safety regulations, local applicable laws regarding health, safety or environment

Required Skills And Abilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality and strong customer support skills Ability to work independently with limited supervision Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with Team Members, Residents, family members, visitors, and the general public Work professionally with people from a wide variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds When working in Resident areas, must be able to communicate effectively in English Attends and participates in in-service educational classes, Healthcare Academy and staff meetings as directed Complies with protection of health information (HIPAA) safeguards
Education And Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years of food service experience in a health care setting preferred Serve Safe Certified

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. The Team Member frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of North Hill Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds
Work Environment
May be subject to work during emergencies such as inclement weather, evaluation and other disasters Exhibits flexibility with schedule to accommodate events This position may require long hours and weekend and holiday work
