Legal Counsel
Provides consultation, guidance, and strategic recommendations on navigating legal processes, including data sharing and privacy compliance, Right of Entry agreements, Occupancy Agreements, hotel contracts, commercial parking lot/pad leases, group site land lease agreements, unit repossession, and related matters.

Legal Counsel : $ Pay commensurate with experience. Legal Counsel Responsibilities Include: Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of issues, including contracts, compliance, regulatory matters, employment law, and risk management. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal agreements such as vendor contracts, service agreements, leases, MOUs, and NDAs. Ensure organizational compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., HR, Finance, Procurement) to address legal risks and support business objectives. Manage and oversee external legal counsel, as needed, for specialized matters or litigation. Monitor and assess changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization; advise leadership on necessary actions. Support incident response, investigations, and legal aspects of crisis management, particularly in areas like emergency management or disaster response. Develop and maintain internal legal policies, procedures, and training programs. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making to mitigate legal risks. Handle or assist with legal disputes, claims, or regulatory investigations. Performs other job-related duties as assigned Legal Counsel Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: Licensed attorney with demonstrated experience in emergency management, disaster response, and recovery operations, including familiarity with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Active license to practice law and in good standing with a state bar (specify jurisdiction if needed).
Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate, government, or nonprofit environment. Proven experience in contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and risk management. Experience supporting cross-functional teams and advising on business and operational matters. Familiarity with litigation, employment law, and data privacy is highly desirable. Experience in emergency management, disaster response and recovery, or government contracting is a strong plus. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build effective working relationships. Proficiency in legal research tools and common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, document management systems).
