Growing Loop law firm seeks an experienced corporate/transactional associate to join our dynamic national practice. Our firm handles a broad range of complex matters in a variety of areas, including nonprofit and local government law, complex tort and healthcare defense, commercial litigation and transactional matters, and real estate development. Ideal candidates will possess 3 to 7 years of experience in local government, corporate, or transactional law, with demonstrated experience in representing nonprofit, religious, and/or other tax-exempt organizations. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, as well as opportunities for lawyers to enhance their skills through direct client engagement.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have the ability to work proactively and will demonstrate strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills, as exemplified by the criteria listed below.
Education And Experience
3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in corporate or transactional law. Experience with nonprofit, religious, and/or other tax-exempt clients preferred. History of academic success. Excellent organizational abilities and talents to work independently. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Direct responsibility for advising clients on corporate governance matters, preparing bylaws and policies, and drafting and negotiating contracts and other transactions. In good standing with the Illinois bar.
