Job Title : Data Management Analyst
Reports to: Head of the DMO
Location: NY 10036 - 5D Onsite
VISA - USC/GC - Prefer W2
The role of a Data Management Analyst plays a hands-on role in executing various Data initiatives related to data governance, data management and reports enablement. The ideal candidate would have industry experience in multiple data management capabilities (e.g., Data Governance, Data Lineage, Data Quality, Metadata, Reference data management, data and reporting, etc.), from a business and technical perspective, within the Financial Services Industry. He/she should be a self-starter and team player and should be able to support activities with minimal supervision support.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop business and functional requirements for data management projects (includes, not limited to, report automation/migration and data projects) ssist the team leads in eliciting business requirement from the business stakeholders, manage the planning and execution of requirements gathering workshop Conduct stakeholder meetings independently, with minimal supervision, to gather necessary requirements, and develop detailed business requirements document Support the lead to enable data management capabilities across line of businesses include (not limited to): KDE identification, data lineage capture, DQ rule development and execution, etc. Manage and work closely with various stakeholders (business owners, IT, department leadership, etc.) to drive through data management activities (manage projects, support core data capabilities, training stakeholders, enhancing DM policy & procedure docs, etc.) Provide strategic leadership and direction to Data Stewards for BAU data management activities; collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and data management best practices. Support and work closely with Data Stewards to manage BAU activities/tasks as part of continuous Data Governance monitoring and compliance adherence to Data Governance policy&procedures, across all the key data disciplines including (not limited to): DQ rules, Business Metadata and Data Lineage enhancements, DQC Assessment for the new/modified business processes, etc. Proactively identify data-related issues and discrepancies. Support the resolution process by coordinating with relevant teams and stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective solutions. Drive the adoption of data management best practices within the organization. Facilitate change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions and minimize disruption during process changes. Help the DMO leadership and team members with ad-hoc requests on project deliverables. Help in the development of program level status reports, weekly, monthly etc.
Experience and Skills required:
5+ years' experience in data management and business analysis, preferably in the banking sector Should have hands-on understanding of data management capabilities (KDE, Metadata, data lineage, data quality, reporting, etc.) Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Visio Must have strong communication skills and suitable in teamwork environment. Must be proactive and analytical to evaluate and solve problems independently. Must be able to work under pressure with the team and deliver results in a timely manner. Must be willing to learn, self-driven and responsible.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor/Master degree in finance or related field dvanced degree in data management, analytics etc. is preferred
