Sr Network Engineer (contract)

Must be United States Citizen, and "Clearable"
Pay depends on level of experience, educaiton, whether possess Active DOD Clearance, what certifications achieved (e.g. Security+, CCNE) and extent of experience in the "pluses" with
STIGs, HAIPE/TACLANE, COMSEC/CRYPTO equipment, Tactical/military Common Data Link (CDL) and ANW2, (MIL) SATCOM equipment, etc.
REQUIRED: •
Bachelor of Science in
STEM discipline
with 8 years of experience ; OR
6 years of relevant experience with a Master (MS) degree; OR
12 years relevant network engineer experience if no degree •
Exp with network design, architecture, specifications, and equipment selection . •
Understand IP4, IPv6 network design, incl. IP sub-netting & protocols BGP, OSPF, EIGRP . • Understand
network device configuration and troubleshooting
(ideally, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE). • Understand
advanced features like GRE, IPSEC, IP quality-of-service, VLANs, and multicast . • Familiar with
network management protocols , like
SNMP, SSH, syslog, RADIUS/TACACS .
PREFERRED (NOT Required):
Experience with ANY of the following is a "nice to have" but NOT required - •
DoD 8570 Security certification such as Sec+, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent. •
CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent . • Network management apps:
Splunk, Firepower Management Center (FMC),
Cisco ISE. • Exposure to the
Risk Management Framework , security controls,
STIGs . •
Windows, Linux, and VMWare configuration and troubleshooting. •

and other military
COMSEC/CRYPTO equipment •
Tactical/military radio networks , like
Common Data Link (CDL) and ANW2 . •
(MIL) SATCOM equipment
and services. •
Cisco Unified Communications / VoIP and VTC •
