The Program Manager coordinates logistics for Study Away at Monterey undergraduate program offered each semester at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. The position works with the director to ensure undergraduate students from various majors and institutions have a successful study away experience. This is a part-time, hourly, non-benefits eligible position. The starting rate is $22.14 per hour. Core Responsibilities: Plan activities relevant to the Monterey region (e.g., excursions, community events, volunteer opportunities). Work with the director to process and track program expenses. Liaise with MIIS campus departments to ensure access to resources like the library. Perform other duties as assigned, including being available outside normal working hours. Handle administrative duties for student reimbursements. Organize and share program materials with MIIS Communications and Schools Abroad Communications for promotion. Maintain familiarity with MIIS and knowledge of the Monterey region. Exhibit excellent organizational and communication skills. Experience working with Middlebury financial systems. Possess an academic background in environmental studies. Coordinate events and promotional materials. Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Occasional driving and walking long distances at a casual pace. Ability to coordinate transportation for large groups.
