We are seeking an HR leader with a passion for people, strategy, and growth. A well-established California-based law firm is seeking a
Director of Human Resources
to join its executive team. This is a rare opportunity to make a meaningful impact at the leadership level of a multi-office law firm. About the Role: As the firm’s HR Director, you will oversee operations across
12 offices , supporting a team of
120 total employees . This is a people-centered, strategic role working closely with managing partners and office managers to drive performance, culture, and growth.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with firm leadership on
attorney performance management , including setting guidelines and conducting evaluations Oversee and support
office managers
and
attorney management
across all locations Lead the firm’s
marketing initiatives
in partnership with key stakeholders Attend and prepare for firmwide
management meetings Direct
recruitment strategy
and
disciplinary actions Oversee
insurance liability coverage
and risk-related policies Supervise the
Controller
and
IT Department , including
cybersecurity
protocols Manage
event planning
and
safety program
compliance across all offices Champion the firm’s
technology upgrades
and process improvements Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and open communication Ideal Background: Prior experience managing HR across
multiple office locations
in a law firm setting Strong leadership presence with the ability to
communicate confidently with diverse personalities Well-versed in IT functionality and implementation Comfortable working closely with
executive leadership and partners Proven ability to
handle high-stress environments
with poise and professionalism Demonstrated success in implementing
HR technology , driving
recruitment , and overseeing
compliance programs This position can be based in Sacramento or the Bay Area
