The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for preparing and reviewing financial reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC, and federal banking regulatory requirements. This role ensures the accuracy of consolidated financial statements, supports regulatory and SEC reporting, maintains internal control compliance (ICFR), and collaborates across departments to deliver timely and accurate financial information for internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly consolidated financial statements and journal entries, including tax and equity method adjustments. Compile data for financial reporting packages, capital ratios, and variances. Support SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q), MD&A, and other statutory reports. Assist in preparing regulatory filings (FR Y-9C, FR Y-9LP, FFIEC 031, etc.). Maintain documentation and controls in accordance with COSO ICFR framework. Conduct technical accounting research and draft memos on new or updated standards. Coordinate with auditors and respond to internal/external audit requests. Automate and improve reporting tools and processes using Excel and data systems. Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and regulatory requirements. Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Accounting preferred). CPA preferred or CPA eligibility required. Minimum 5 years of combined corporate and public accounting experience. Experience in banking regulatory financial reporting highly desirable. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and banking regulatory frameworks. Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with financial reporting systems and automation tools.
