Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer
to contribute to the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of process monitoring and control systems for a
new medical isotope production facility . This role will be pivotal in ensuring that our client’s systems meet performance, quality, and regulatory standards while supporting the next generation of nuclear medicine.

Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor other engineers in I&C technologies, decision-making, and ownership of systems. Manage technical interfaces between internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders. Estimate task durations and resource needs for I&C design deliverables. Own a portfolio of I&C equipment from concept through commissioning, ensuring adherence to design and safety standards. Guide development and review of control systems such as: Distributed Control Systems (DCS) Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Data Acquisition Systems (DAQ) Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to select instrumentation and define system requirements. Coordinate electrical power distribution for instrumentation systems with the Auxiliary Systems Group. Develop and review technical documents, including: Instrument specs and calculations Test plans Installation drawings Cable/conduit routing and loop diagrams Evaluate vendor proposals, manage change requests, and lead design reviews.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering
or a related technical discipline. 5–20+ years
of experience in I&C engineering (title/level based on experience). Strong understanding of control hardware/software, environmental requirements, EQ testing, and plant start-ups. Experience finalizing specs for plant control systems and safety-related equipment. Knowledge of
nuclear analog/digital instrumentation and monitoring systems
preferred. Familiarity with
NQA-1 standards
and nuclear safety system design (a plus, not required). Proficiency in: Cable shielding, separation, and radiation-hardened components PLC (Allen Bradley), SCADA/HMI programming I/O design documentation FPGA-based actuation systems (preferred)
