Base pay range

$180,000.00/yr - $240,000.00/yr

About The Role
Were hiring a staff software engineer to join us onsite in San Francisco. Youll build critical systems, services, and customer-facing features end-to-end. Youll be doing a lot of zero to one, breaking down high-level goals, diving into ambiguity and experimenting to find the best solutions. As an early employee, youll also contribute heavily to building the companys team and culture.
Our stack: TypeScript, Node, Postgres, React, GraphQL (Apollo), Next.js

You might be a good fit if you have/are

• A strong desire to directly understand customer problems and design solutions for them
• Experience working with data models in relational databases
• T-shaped skillset: shallow knowledge across the stack and depth of experience in at least one area
• Experience breaking down, planning, and executing ambiguous projects
• Thoughtful perspective on engineering operations best practices (e.g. incident retrospectives, sprint planning, technical design)
• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Familiarity or interest in Typescript, React, GraphQL, Postgres, or Next.js
• Not required: insurance knowledge we promise, youll pick up the necessary pieces fast!
