Hourly Pay Range:
$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:

- Position: RN - Cardiology
- Location: Chicago, IL
- Full Time - 32 hours per week
- Hours: Days - M-F 8am-4:30pm; rotating weekends/holidays
- Required Travel: None
What you will do:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of assigned cardiac patients based on current nursing standards and practices.
- Administer cardiac stress testing, including pharmacologic stress testing.
- Interpret EKG rhythms and 12-lead EKGs.
- Perform TEE, Cardioversion, and Tilt Table exams.
- Provide clinical guidance for staff in patient care.
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic working environment and recognize emergency situations, taking appropriate action.
- Engage in professional growth and development.
- Review and evaluate current research for possible implementation.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current nursing/hospital policies, procedures, and quality activities.
- Practice cost-containment in patient care.
- Perform IV punctures on outpatients.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Develop and teach cardiac rehab educational programs focused on heart disease prevention.
What you will need:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- At least two (2) years of overall nursing experience, with at least 6 months in Emergency, CCU, or ICU.
- Mastery of nursing skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Current RN license in Illinois.
- ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.
- American Heart Association CPR certification.
