Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital joined Mon Health in October 2017. Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital is a 70-bed general medical and surgical hospital. With the support of the flagship hospital in Morgantown and its dedicated team, this physician will provide care to communities in Lewis, Gilmer, Braxton, and Upshur counties.

There is an array of outdoor activities year-round, including hiking, biking, white water rafting, snow/water skiing, hunting, fishing, and golfing, among others.

This position is charged with the efficient and effective provision of emergency care and hospitalist services in the Emergency and Inpatient Departments of Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, consistent with established policies and procedures. The primary responsibilities include resuscitating or stabilizing patients, referring them to appropriate medical departments for further evaluation, and providing comprehensive clinical care in the inpatient setting. The provider will follow and direct evidence-based practices as established within the hospital's service line. Collaboration and coordination of individual treatment plans with the clinical team are essential to ensure an appropriate continuum of care.

Education

  1. Completed an approved Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy residency program in a specialty such as Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Surgery, or Anesthesiology, resulting in board eligibility or certification.
  2. Licensed to practice medicine in the State of West Virginia.
  3. Member in good standing of the Medical Staff of Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital.
  4. Credentialed and privileged to work in emergency medicine at the hospital.
  5. Hold a valid DEA certificate without restrictions.
  6. Current CPR certification.
  7. Current ATLS certification, if not American Board of Emergency Medicine Certified.
  8. ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
  9. NRP is recommended.
