This position offers an hourly wage of $115.21 - $195.85, equating to an annual salary of $239,632 - $407,375. It is classified as a Pay Band C19.
Job Purpose: The psychiatrist's primary responsibility is the care of all patients admitted to NMBHI. The psychiatrist meets with patients on assigned units and collaborates with an interdisciplinary treatment team to provide high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, treat, and manage patient care throughout treatment.
- Work with patients, residents, and clients.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Experience in inpatient psychiatry.
- Experience evaluating and diagnosing patients.
- Experience prescribing medications for serious mental illnesses and monitoring side effects.
- Experience working on an interdisciplinary team.
Minimum Qualifications: Must have a medical license in New Mexico, Board Certification in Psychiatry or related fields, an active controlled substance license, and DEA registration in New Mexico.
Employment Requirements:
- Position is safety-sensitive; employment is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing, criminal background checks, and other legal requirements.
- Must successfully complete a criminal records background check and possess a valid driver's license.
- Must complete HIPAA training.
Working Conditions: Work primarily in an office setting with extensive computer and phone use. May require lifting up to 30 pounds. Work hours are 8 am to 5 pm. The campus is tobacco and e-cigarette free.
