We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent PI Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a highly respected law firm, playing a critical role in providing comprehensive support to our attorneys in all aspects of personal injury litigation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the legal field, specifically in personal injury litigation, and be proficient in various paralegal tasks such as filing, documentation, and trial preparation.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent PI Litigation Paralegal, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting attorneys with all aspects of personal injury cases from inception through resolution. 2. Managing case files, drafting legal documents, and preparing case-related reports. 3. Conducting legal research and fact-checking to ensure the accuracy of case data. 4. Filing pleadings and other legal documents with the court and maintaining case files. 5. Preparing for trials by organizing exhibits, assisting with witness preparation, and attending depositions. 6. Coordinating and managing schedules, deadlines, and calendars to ensure all legal requirements and deadlines are met. 7. Communicating effectively with clients, witnesses, and legal teams to gather and relay pertinent case information.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, specifically in personal injury litigation. 2. Advanced knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and federal and state rules of legal procedure. 3. Proficient in filing, documentation, and trial preparation. 4. Excellent research and report-writing skills. 5. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage numerous case files and deadlines simultaneously. 6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel. 7. Proficiency in using legal research software, Microsoft Office Suite, and legal case management software. 8. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved institution is preferred.
