Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team part-time, possibly moving into a full-time position. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of trucks, including but not limited to dump trucks, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and flatbeds. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Duties: Operate 53' tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, tankers, possible hazmat (if certified) Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo delivered on Roadvision and Samsara Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while following all traffic regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, maintenance, and operational procedures. Requirements: Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being driven. Proven experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record. Familiarity with various truck types such as tractor-trailer, refrigerated, tankers, and flatbeds. Ability to load and unload cargo safely using appropriate equipment. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to truck driving. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as required by company policy, as well as NTCI requirements
