This position supervises daily Kids Club activities and is responsible for proactively communicating and maintaining a safe atmosphere while preventing accidents. This position will also be running any special program involving children. The purpose of this position is to provide a positive role model for members as well as fellow Kids Club staff and to create a character-developing atmosphere.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Uphold the Mission of the YMCA Maintain all required certifications Take complete responsibility for Kids Club scheduled hours and, if necessary, follow the appropriate substitute procedures and cover shifts when necessary Follow weekly work schedule requirements as set forth by the Executive Director Work special events Create special camps like Fall Break, Winter Break and Spring Break for our campers. Create weekly crafts and activities for our Kids Club Staff Run our monthly Parents Night Out and create schedule of staff Meet with the Executive Director as directed Create Kids Club staff schedules Conduct and plan quarterly meetings with Kids Club Staff Assist in training staff Attend all staff meetings and trainings as required by the Executive Director Other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to communicate verbally, including projecting voice across distance in normal and loud situations Exposure to indoor or outdoor elements Ability to lift 25 pound Noise level-High

Qualifications Minimum age of 18 Team player with personal commitment to YMCA Mission, Philosophy & Character Development Values People centered; service orient Excellent oral and written communication skills Up to 30 hours per week. Must be available to work nights and weekends
