Stockroom/Shipping Clerk

Position Summary:

Manage receipt of finished goods from Operations into Finished Goods Inventory and shipment of product to customers

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Receive finished goods from Operations:

o package into product box or clam shell as appropriate

o store in designated location o transact in MRP system into Finished Goods (FG) inventory location as available to sell. Move goods from FG inventory and prepare for shipment o review daily the customer sales orders available to ship in MRP o pick available product from FG inventory

o transact in MRP system out of Finished Goods inventory

o package in appropriate final shipping container (box, Gaylord, etc) o prepare shipper documentation (label, pack list, etc) using Shipper system Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments. Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling Build boxes for packaging Trouble shoot shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to resolve them Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis

Qualifications:

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Experience working in a shipping or receiving department. Experience operating heavy machinery (forklift, etc) Language Ability:

Read, analyze and interpret shipping documents. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public. Mathematical Ability:

Must be able to conduct basic mathematical problems including calculating proportions, percentages, area, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, individuals must have strong computer related skills including familiarization with spreadsheet, word processing, and MRP/ERP software. Certificates and Licenses : None required.
