Key skills we are looking for in a candidate are
Picking and pulling orders Previous shipping and receiving experience, processing shipments through major carriers (a must). Must have their high school diploma or GED Able to lift and move 50+ lbs. Maneuver 500-550 lbs. drums with assistance of equipment POSITION SUMMARY The Shipping and Receiving Agent is responsible for performing the tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to: Select and ship customer orders accurately and in the timeframes required to meet sales order schedules and customer carrier requirements Prepare required shipping documents including such things as bills of lading, packing lists, customs clearance paperwork, etc. Utilize packing techniques to pack customer product to meet company and customer requirements Process and affix all shipping labels and required information / labels on packages Assist in determining the best shipping method for the customer and provide cost information to customer service Provide weight and dimensions to customers per their requests Enter and retrieve information in the Process Pro ERP System, Fed Ex and UPS shipping systems Must participate in company provided training and earn forklift certification Must obtain DOT CFR 49 Hazardous Materials certification Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas Operate circular saw and shrink wrap machine to prepare skids for shipment Maintain and keep an adequate supply of shipping materials and supplies Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods Maintain shipping files and flammable good records in an accurate, organized, and orderly manner Check goods received against purchase orders or invoices Unpack, examine and route incoming shipments, reject damaged items, and record shortages Put stock away in the warehouse Provide forklift certification for employees within the company Attends all required meetings and, if necessary, training Maintains adherence to "The Kao Way" standards at all times Fill in as needed in other locations Other duties as assigned by management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Experience and/or Education Requirements:
Employee must have a high school degree or equivalent. Employee should have experience in picking, packing, shipping and receiving, preferably 2+ years
