Ideal candidates have a proven track record of excellence and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment. Ixana is developing various reference hardware devices incorporating Wi-R chips, including smartglasses, earbuds, smartwatches, EEG nodes, EMG nodes, smartphones, heart rate monitors, and smart rings. This role involves developing and testing these innovative reference hardware devices. Responsibilities: Design, simulate, prototype, debug, and test embedded systems that combine electronics, mechanics, optics, and software, with end-to-end ownership of product design from concept to launch Create schematics, complete board layouts, assemble, test, debug, and integrate designs into opto-electro-mechanical systems Collaborate in a team environment with cross-functional groups, including industrial design, architecture, product design, NPI, research, and supply chain Specify components for hardware designs Minimum Qualifications and Skills: BS/MS with 3.8+ GPA in Electrical Engineering or related fields Demonstrated experience in developing hobby or industrial hardware (IoT or wearable) Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Experience with 4-layer PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience in cross-team and cross-geography collaboration and managing by influence Experience with embedded devices Expertise in low-power circuit design, audio circuit design, and analog design Knowledge of processor architecture, digital circuit design, and various communication protocols (e.g., I2C, UART, SPI, USB, MIPI, I2S) Experience with mixed-signal board-level design Familiarity with integrating RF technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS Experience in device design from schematic capture and PCB layout through assembly Seniority level
