We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmologist specializing in retina care for a 100-day locum tenens assignment at a Clinic in Pennsylvania. Starting on 07/14/2025, this full-time role offers a Monday to Friday schedule, with work hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position focuses on providing comprehensive retina care, including laser therapy, intravitreal injections, cryotherapy, and surgical procedures such as vitrectomy and scleral buckle. As the locum ophthalmologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various retinal conditions, performing specialized procedures, and collaborating with other eye care professionals. This opportunity requires proficiency in retinal care and may extend beyond the initial assignment period.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Provide comprehensive retina care services

Perform laser therapy for retinal conditions

Administer intravitreal injections

Conduct cryotherapy treatments

Perform surgical procedures including vitrectomy and scleral buckle

Diagnose and treat various retinal disorders

Utilize Nextgen electronic health record system

Collaborate with other eye care professionals

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations

Deliver high-quality patient care and maintain patient satisfaction

Educate patients on eye health and post-procedure care


Additional Information:

Pennsylvania state medical license required

Board certification in Ophthalmology with Retina fellowship preferred

Experience in performing complex retinal procedures

Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment

Strong communication and patient care skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Potential for assignment extension
