We are actively searching for two highly skilled and dedicated surgeons to join our team and provide call coverage for a long-term need. This locum tenens position offers the flexibility of a call schedule while allowing you to participate in both inpatient and outpatient vascular surgery cases.

What You'll Do:

  • Respond to call needs and provide timely consultations and surgical interventions for inpatients with a variety of vascular conditions.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for both inpatients and outpatients.
  • Review patient charts, order diagnostic tests as needed, and recommend appropriate treatment courses.
  • Perform minimally invasive and open vascular surgery procedures as indicated for patient care.
  • Document all patient interactions, procedures, and treatment decisions thoroughly and efficiently within the Epic electronic records system.
  • Participate in hospital-wide initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance patient care within the vascular surgery department (time permitting).

Who You Are:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a current and active license to practice medicine in California (only).
  • Board-certified in Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS) (required).
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
  • A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to patients with vascular conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • The ability to manage a fast-paced call environment while maintaining a high level of clinical judgment and decision-making.
