Position Summary
We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Manager to join the Walmart+ Business Development team, reporting to the Director, Business Development. This role will support the exploration, outreach, negotiation, and launch of potential 3rd Party benefits for Walmart+ members. The ideal candidate should be a strong collaborator, adaptable, strategic, and possess a member-first mindset with a bias for action to drive results for members and the business.
What you'll do
- Develop strategies and frameworks for forming key strategic partnerships to enhance member acquisition, benefit utilization, and retention among Walmart+ members.
- Identify, structure, negotiate, and lead discussions with prospective external partners across various industries.
- Create data-driven business opportunities through business cases, feasibility analysis, and performance assessment, driving strategies with cross-functional teams.
- Manage the full lifecycle of partner engagement, deal-making, and partnership implementation.
- Lead contractual negotiations on key business terms, creating data-based insights to achieve win-win outcomes.
- Collaborate with legal, marketing, product, engineering, and other internal teams to execute partnerships and integrate builds into product roadmaps.
- Discover partnership launch requirements, align on project timelines, and manage resources.
- Define reporting metrics to track success and analyze post-launch data to refine future offers.
- Research and assess the competitive landscape to identify new markets and partnership opportunities.
- Develop and maintain partnership roadmaps to accelerate customer acquisition and add value to Walmart+.
- Create and present executive summaries for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners and internal teams to support business growth.
- Resolve complex partner escalations across categories and establish best practices for partnership processes.

Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary range: $108,000 - $216,000, plus performance bonuses, stock options, health benefits, 401(k), paid time off, and additional perks.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 3 years’ experience in business development or relevant area OR 5 years’ experience in similar roles.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in sales, a Master’s degree, supervisory experience, and working with cross-functional teams are preferred.
