CFO Role Overview

LOVE CORN is seeking a seasoned, strategic, and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in consumer packaged goods (CPG) to lead our finance and operational functions during this critical phase of growth.
As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will oversee financial strategy, operations, fundraising, and investor relations while helping the company scale from a startup to a mature, high-performing business. The ideal candidate has successfully scaled a CPG brand, led fundraising rounds and strategic partnerships, and thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.

CFO Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

· Partner with the CEO and executive team on overall company strategy and growth planning

· Lead company goal-setting and ensure alignment with monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs

· Own investor relations, fundraising strategy, and capital structure decisions

2. Financial Operations & Controls

· Oversee accounting functions including month-end close, audits, tax compliance (in partnership with the Financial Controller)

· Implement scalable financial systems, processes, and reporting tools

· Develop real-time dashboards and KPIs to drive performance and accountability

3. Financial Planning & Analysis

· Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario modeling

· Optimize pricing strategy, trade spend, COGS, and gross margin

· Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to align on financial plans

4. Cash Management & Financial Controls

· Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury functions, and asset-based lending partners

· Evaluate vendor and customer terms to maximize working capital and reduce costs

· Establish and enforce robust payment approvals, FX planning, and IT controls

5. Operations & Commercial Finance

· Oversee operational finance including inventory management, supply chain, and cost of goods

· Provide final financial review and approval for all commercial contracts and commitments

· Support cross-functional planning to drive efficiency and ROI

6. Investor Relations & Board Management

· Act as the primary financial contact for investors and board members

· Prepare and present financial reporting packages, board decks, and strategic updates

· Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, banks, and auditors

7. Fundraising & Strategic Partnerships

· Lead investment rounds, including modeling, due diligence, and investor presentations

· Identify and pursue strategic partnership opportunities

· Collaborate with legal and external advisors on deal structuring and execution

8. Team Leadership

· Build and develop a high-performing finance and operations team

· Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement

· Champion operational efficiency and scalable infrastructure

Qualifications

· 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and operations, including 5+ years in CPG

· Strong expertise in retail and DTC models, trade spend, pricing, and gross margin improvement

· Exceptional financial modeling, strategic planning, and analytical skills

· Experience scaling operations, implementing systems, and leading high-growth teams

· Proven track record in fundraising, investor relations, and board-level communication

· CPA, CFA, or MBA a plus
