Lotus Concepts Management is a dynamic company that operates some of Colorado’s most exciting hospitality venues, including restaurants like ViewHouse, My Neighbor Felix, Wonderyard, and Belles & Boots! We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Payroll Manager to join our team.

Job Overview:

Lotus Concepts Management oversees ten different restaurants and is continually growing, as the Payroll Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of the organization’s payroll functions. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and supporting employee payroll-related inquiries. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a high degree of discretion, and a thorough knowledge of payroll systems and labor laws.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and process bi-weekly/semi-monthly/monthly payroll for (number) employees across multiple states or locations.

Ensure accuracy and compliance in all payroll transactions, including wages, bonuses, benefits, and deductions.

Maintain payroll records and ensure proper documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

Monitor and implement changes in federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.

Lead year-end activities including W-2 preparation, tax filings, and reconciliations.

Manage payroll system configurations and upgrades; collaborate with HRIS/IT teams as needed.

Handle payroll audits and liaise with internal or external auditors as required.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks, taxes, and deductions in a timely and professional manner.

Partner with Human Resources and Finance to support reporting, budgeting, and reconciliation tasks.

Supervise payroll staff (if applicable), providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

Qualifications :

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

3+ years of progressive experience in payroll, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Extensive knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and wage & hour laws.

Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom, UKG, Workday, etc.).

High proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.

Preferred:

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.

Familiarity with HRIS and ERP systems integrations.
