Description Product Manager IV
Responsible for ensuring assigned product(s) are relevant, effectively sold, and managed to provide a positive customer experience with sound infrastructure and integrity levels. This includes managing the product(s) through market research, financial analysis, planning, development, implementation, and coordinating sales and marketing strategies. Key components include product profitability, risk mitigation, performance evaluation, and measurement of results. The role also involves serving as a subject matter expert for the product suite.
Position Responsibilities:
Roadmap Management
- Serve as a market expert through research, discovery, validation, customer interactions, presentations, and white papers.
- Define market problems by analyzing market data, customers, competitors, and performing SWOT, technology assessments, and win/loss analyses.
- Develop solutions via strategic planning, including roadmaps, business plans, profitability assessments, and understanding customer needs and buyer personas.
- Manage products throughout their lifecycle, monitoring performance, and adjusting pricing and marketing strategies to enhance profitability and customer retention.
- Define, measure, and manage product risks; communicate success metrics.
Product Promotion/Advocacy
- Create and own the market messaging for assigned products and participate in marketing and advertising initiatives.
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions.
- Engage with customers and prospects to monitor trends and acceptance of products.
Portfolio and Revenue Management
- Evaluate economic conditions impacting products and advise management accordingly.
- Ensure products meet profitability and positioning goals, integrating them into sales planning and profit plans.
- Develop pricing strategies to meet product objectives.
Product Initiatives
- Research market problems, opportunities, and evaluate new product ideas.
- Validate market problems through customer interactions.
- Set testing criteria for new and existing products and review workflows.
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure product stability and efficient resolution protocols for issues and outages.
- Review customer feedback related to assigned products.
