The Assistant Director, Program plays an essential role in overseeing and managing the day-to-day Scholars program for SF Scholars, including leading a growing team of six Program Managers as they work directly with Scholars across grades 9-12, driving overall strategy for Scholar advising, and developing and facilitating professional development. This role reports to the SF Scholars’ Director, Program. Responsibilities include staff management and development, inspiring and coaching a team of 6-8 Program Managers, setting meaningful performance goals, collaborating on Scholar and Academic Advising strategy, overseeing Scholar enrichment programs and mentorship programs, developing family engagement initiatives, managing the Scholar Handbook and website, tracking and analyzing program data, supporting Program Managers with Scholar issues, and delivering professional development series. The role requires working a hybrid schedule with in-person work three days a week (including required Saturdays) and virtual work two days a week, with local travel to various program locations. Qualifications include a Master's degree in education or related field or equivalent experience, 2-3 years of people management experience, familiarity with public education in San Francisco, and strong communication and leadership skills. Bilingual Spanish/English or Cantonese/English is highly desirable. The position offers a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits.
