Business Intelligence Architect

Job Description :

As a Business Intelligence Architect, you will be responsible for designing, solutioning, developing, and leading developers in creating reports and dashboards for clients.

Job Responsibilities :

1. Architecting complex solutions based on clients' custom requirements.
2. Having deep expertise in ThoughtSpot Embed use cases and utilizing ThoughtSpot's REST APIs and Visual Embed SDK to integrate ThoughtSpot with various custom applications.
3. Creating and maintaining user/groups and administering the ThoughtSpot cluster from a Data Admin perspective.
4. Helping developers create and maintain reports and dashboards using Business Intelligence applications like IBM Cognos Analytics.
5. Creating BI solutions leveraging data from cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake.
6. Writing and maintaining SQL queries to retrieve data from relational databases.
7. Analyzing and understanding business requirements to design and develop effective reports and dashboards.
8. Developing and maintaining architectural blueprints, data flow diagrams, and technical documentation.
9. Defining best practices for reporting, data visualization, and analytics solutions.
10. Implementing data security, role-based access controls, and compliance measures with BI platforms.
11. Conducting capacity planning and performance tuning for ThoughtSpot and Cognos environments.
12. Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their information needs and provide insights.
13. Providing technical support to end-users on report and dashboard issues.
14. Participating in project planning and contributing to design and development processes.
15. Troubleshooting and resolving complex Cognos issues, providing expert-level support.
16. Overseeing migration and upgrade of Cognos environments.
17. Ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Expertise with ThoughtSpot Embed and Visual SDK is essential.
• 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics tools.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Cognos BI developer or architect.
• Expert-level proficiency in IBM Cognos Analytics (11.x or later).
• Strong experience with Cognos Framework Manager, Report Studio, Dashboarding, and Analysis Studio.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with SQL and database technologies like Snowflake and Oracle.
• Experience with Power BI and ThoughtSpot SaaS.
• React experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly learn and understand complex business processes.
• Strong knowledge of front-end JavaScript and CSS.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• ThoughtSpot and IBM Cognos certifications are preferred.
