Your Role
The IT Health Solutions Health Data Strategy team is responsible for initiatives such as the Digital Health Record and health data exchanges with vendor partners. The Full Stack Engineer will report to the IT Applications Sr. Manager over Health Data Strategy. In this role, you will be involved in designing, developing, and deploying secure, high-quality software solutions. Your focus will be on integrating security and automation throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), emphasizing writing clean, maintainable code and building infrastructure that supports CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud-native delivery. You will implement and enforce DevSecOps best practices tailored for Azure, contribute to infrastructure as code, and collaborate closely with developers, testers, and cloud engineers to ensure code is secure, scalable, and production-ready from day one. This role requires a hands-on engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about code quality, automation, and secure cloud development. Your Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience), with at least 7 years of relevant experience in enterprise application support and cloud-based solutions.
- Hands-on experience in designing, coding, integrating, and deploying applications on Microsoft Windows and/or Linux Server platforms, including knowledge of N & N-1 operating systems, Remote Desktop Services, and server technologies.
- Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks such as React and/or Vue, including component-based architecture and state management (e.g., Redux, Pinia).
- Strong skills in JavaScript, CSS responsive design practices.
- Automation skills using PowerShell, ANT, Jython, Python, InstallShield, and SCCM, with experience automating builds, deployments, and configurations.
- Expertise in supporting applications built on COM+, DCOM, .NET (2.0+), and Java across Windows and Linux environments.
- Knowledge of networking and security protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, LDAP, Active Directory, XML, IIS, authentication protocols, SSH, and SFTP.
- Solid SQL/PL-SQL knowledge and experience with API development and integration using Java and other tools.
- Unix command-line proficiency, including scripting with utilities like awk, sed, and Perl.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible for automating cloud deployments.
- Experience deploying and managing applications using Docker in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, service-oriented architecture, and enterprise cloud integration, preferably with Microsoft Azure and virtualization platforms like Citrix.
- Excellent stakeholder, vendor, and cross-functional team collaboration skills, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Preferred experience in the healthcare industry and familiarity with Epic software.
- Strong process orientation with the ability to follow and improve operational procedures.
