Description
As a Senior Risk Manager for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in our commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable business practices. You'll lead efforts to ensure Amazon's compliance with EPR regulations across multiple jurisdictions, focusing on waste streams such as packaging, electronics, and batteries, amongst others. In this position, you'll leverage your strategic thinking, analytical skills, and stakeholder management abilities to develop innovative solutions, optimize compliance processes, and support Amazon's goals while navigating complex regulatory landscapes.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of user-centric EPR compliance controls within Seller Central, ensuring seamless integration of regulatory requirements with seller workflows
- Develop and execute a comprehensive framework for detecting and addressing bad actor behavior, implementing automated monitoring systems and risk assessment protocols
- Drive deep integration work of compliance controls with listings and remediation experiences, optimizing the interface for EPR-related data collection and validation processes
- Partner with technical teams to implement automated solutions for seller compliance verification, including AI-powered data validation tools and real-time compliance checking mechanisms
- Establish and maintain performance metrics for seller compliance programs, analyzing feedback to identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced user experience
- 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
- Master's degree or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
