Position Summary
Novogradac & Company LLP is searching for a Senior Accountant to join our fast-growing firm. The Senior Accountant will manage a variety of tax, audit, and other assignments as designated by the Manager. The role requires minimal supervision, with a focus on supervising and mentoring Staff, independent problem solving, strengthening client relationships, and increasing team profitability. Your Contributions and Responsibilities
- Complete tax and/or audit projects for designated clients with minimal oversight
- Conduct thorough engagement reviews
- Accept increasing responsibility for engagement management
- Recognize potential problem areas during engagements and propose solutions
- Conduct business-specific research, analyze data, interpret results, and compile reports
- Develop and maintain effective client relationships
- Enhance industry skills through training
- Increase team profitability by managing time efficiently and contributing ideas
- Supervise and mentor Staff Accountants
- Other duties and projects as assigned
- Work toward obtaining a CPA license if not already licensed

Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (advanced degree a plus), with 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or relevant experience. CPA exam eligibility or passing sections is required; CPA license is a plus. Experience in areas like affordable housing, LIHTC, Opportunity Zones, renewable energy tax credits, and others is helpful but not mandatory.
