Position Summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is searching for a Senior Accountant to join our fast-growing firm. The Senior Accountant will manage a variety of tax, audit, and other assignments as designated by the Manager. The role requires minimal supervision, with a focus on supervising and mentoring Staff, independent problem solving, strengthening client relationships, and increasing team profitability. Some positions may be open to remote or hybrid work arrangements depending on business needs. Please discuss available options with your recruiter.

Your Contributions and Responsibilities

  • Complete tax and/or audit projects for designated clients with minimal oversight
  • Conduct thorough engagement reviews
  • Accept increasing responsibility for engagement management
  • Recognize potential problem areas during engagements and propose solutions
  • Conduct business-specific research, analyze data, interpret results, and compile reports
  • Develop and maintain effective client relationships
  • Enhance industry skills through training
  • Increase team profitability by managing time efficiently and contributing ideas
  • Supervise and mentor Staff Accountants
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
  • Work toward obtaining a CPA license if not already licensed

Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (advanced degree a plus), with 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or relevant experience. CPA exam eligibility or passing sections is required; CPA license is a plus. Experience in areas like affordable housing, LIHTC, Opportunity Zones, renewable energy tax credits, and others is helpful but not mandatory.
