A US-based social commerce marketplace with over 90 million users and 200 million+ listings is expanding its AI/ML organisation to deliver a personalised, discovery-first shopping experience. Backed by a major global tech & commerce group, the company is doubling its AI/ML squads from 3 to 7 this year, creating high-impact roles in engineering and data science.

Role Summary

As a Machine Learning Engineer II , you will be part of a cross-functional AI squad, building and scaling ML infrastructure for model serving, monitoring, retraining, and testing. You’ll work closely with Data Scientists, Staff MLEs, and infrastructure teams to deploy models into robust production pipelines for personalisation, GenAI seller tools, and trust & safety applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ML serving, monitoring, retraining, and testing systems
• Deploy data science prototypes into production pipelines
• Optimise inference performance, latency, and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure and delivery
• Working Model: Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite (Bay Area, CA)
