The salary range for this position is $100,000-$145,000 dependent upon relevant experience and background.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement SCADA configurations for substation projects using existing RTU standards.
  • Create and maintain point assignment sheets in collaboration with substation design engineers.
  • Apply communication and network protocols as defined by network engineering teams.
  • Diagnose and resolve data communication issues in coordination with system operators and relay test personnel.
  • Remotely program devices such as reclosers and capacitor banks for new installations, failed equipment replacements, and downstream protection updates.
  • Configure and maintain control systems and databases to support new SCADA device installations and updates.
  • When required travel to job sites to configure, troubleshoot and implement SCADA configurations.
Who You Are:
  • 2–5 years of relevant work experience in SCADA systems or automation engineering.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and apply complex system configurations.
  • Solid attendance record and professional work ethic.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may substitute for degree requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • 2–5 years of experience in the electric utility industry.
  • Hands-on experience with SCADA systems and smart grid technologies (e.g., SEL relays, RTUs, gateways).
  • Familiarity with distribution/transmission protection schemes and relay testing procedures.
