The Chief Financial Officer oversees all financial and technological aspects of AbleLight and drives our financial strategy and planning. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the CFO plays a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s overall strategy while ensuring fiscal responsibility, transparency, and sustainability, including due diligence in mergers and acquisitions. This includes key governance interactions with our Board of Directors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus but not required.
  • 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience.
  • Expertise in a multi-state, multi-site healthcare environment is essential.
  • Experience in mergers & acquisitions, revenue cycle management (including Medicaid), and leading a technology function is required.
  • CPA, CFA, or other relevant certifications are preferred.

  • Base salary range between $300,000-330,000, based on experience and education.
  • Annual bonus opportunity based on company and employee performance, set by assigned metrics.

  • Hybrid work location with the ability to work from home and travel to our corporate offices across the US in states we serve.

Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Executive Leadership

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with AbleLight’s strategic priorities and balanced scorecard.
  • Advise the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors on financial planning, risk management, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Provide strategic business and mission recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.

Financial Planning, Analysis & Acquisitions (FP&A)

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed financial reports for executive leadership, Board of Directors, and operational leaders, leveraging the Data & Analytics team.
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and tax filings relevant to our programs and services.
  • Coordinate audits and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
  • Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
  • Ensure appropriate insurance coverage and internal controls compliance.

Cash Flow & Capital Management

  • Manage the company’s cash flow, liquidity, and investment strategies.
  • Oversee treasury functions and relationships with financial institutions.
  • Optimize capital structure and funding opportunities, including real estate investments.
  • Align the passion and talents of team members to foster an environment where they can flourish.
  • Focus on empowering teams, promoting collaboration, attracting and onboarding new team members, mentoring, coaching, and recognizing achievements, while removing barriers to high engagement and results.
