Performs various duties related to the assigned nursing unit in accordance with established Hospital Policies and Procedures. Performs administrative/clerical duties in support of an assigned area. Nurse Manager and Inpatient Nursing Director.Essential FunctionsGreets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.Enters nursing requests subject to the approval of a licensed nurse. Asks for clarification when necessary.Assists with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges. Assembles and maintains patient records and charts.Performs needed clerical tasks, including copying, filing, and ordering/stocking supplies.The telemetry technician has the responsibility of reporting any change in the patient's cardiac rhythm, any unusual occurrences, patient and/or employee issues, work related accidents to the Registered Nurses who are responsible for the delivery of patient care.Strives daily to give all customers very good care and promotes Havasu Regional Medical Centers' Standards of Behavior and other duties as assigned. Qualifications and requirements• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
