Summary:
The Van Driver - Substitute will be responsible for transporting students and/or staff to and from designated locations. This is a substitute position and the driver will be called upon as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a district-owned van in accordance with all traffic laws and regulations
- Transport students and/or staff to and from designated locations within the district
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers at all times
- Maintain accurate records of daily trips, including mileage and passenger information
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents to the appropriate personnel
- Follow all district policies and procedures related to transportation
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow directions
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with the district and surrounding area is a plus.
