Position Overview
Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pediatric Surgeon to join our Division of Pediatric Surgery. We are a dynamic academic division dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, education, and research. As a member of our team, you will work alongside six experienced colleagues, contribute to the education of rotating general surgery residents, and benefit from robust support from our 24/7 Advanced Practice Provider (APP) service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert surgical care to pediatric patients, including advanced minimally invasive surgery techniques.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the growth of our programmatic offerings.
- Teach and mentor rotating general surgery residents, fostering their growth in pediatric surgery.
- Contribute to research and academic activities to elevate our division's academic profile.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Surgeon.
- Early or mid-career candidates are encouraged to apply.
