Williamsbridge Gardens is a supportive housing site located in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx, serving low-income and formerly homeless families and individuals. The site consists of two newly constructed buildings (opened in 2023), developed on the same plot of land and connected by a shared outdoor courtyard.
Operated by the Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS), a nationally recognized leader in human services, Williamsbridge Gardens is part of CUCS's mission to provide integrated housing, health, and social services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, mental illness, or other special needs.
Office Manager
The Office Manager ensures smooth administrative operations at the site, supporting program management, coordinating events, managing vendors, and overseeing office systems. This role may also supervise administrative staff and assist with fiscal and facility-related tasks.
Responsibilities:
The Office Manager will play a central role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our office. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in keeping operations running efficiently.
In this role, the Office Manager will be responsible for managing internal systems and supporting the overall workflow of the office. The Office Manager will coordinate logistics for events and outreach activities and serve as a key point of contact for vendors and service providers. The Office Manager attention to detail will be essential as the Office Manager track site funds, process check requests and ensure compliance with fiscal policies.
The Office Manager will also oversee the maintenance of office supplies, equipment, and shared spaces, helping to create a well-organized and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. When facility issues arise or IT support is needed, the Office Manager will assist in coordinating timely solutions. Additionally, the Office Manager will manage mail, greet visitors, and support internal communication systems to keep the team connected and informed. This role requires flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks as needed.
The Office Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining program data in excel and other databases, fiscal management of site funds including Representative Payee, managing program budgets, vendor management, maintain inventory of office equipment and manage office equipment service contracts as necessary, purchase of program and office supplies, and site liaison to IT. The Office Manager may be assigned additional duties.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years relevant experience
- Strong word-processing skills including extensive experience with MS Word
- Strong spreadsheet/Excel skills, database experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Experience working in supportive housing a plus!
- Spanish speaking preferred
