Machinist

Job Summary:
Our customer is seeking a skilled Machinist / Press Brake Operator with experience in reading blueprints, operating press brake machines, setting dies, and cutting metal. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to produce precision parts to exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Operate press brake machinery to bend, shape, and form metal components.
• Set up and adjust dies for various metal forming applications.
• Cut metal using saws, shears, or other tools as needed.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
• Maintain machinery by performing routine checks and basic maintenance.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment by following all safety protocols and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with other machinists, fabricators, and supervisors to meet production goals.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a machinist and press brake operator.
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• Experience in die setup and metal cutting operations.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Good mechanical skills and understanding of machine functions.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
