The Department of Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center, located in the western suburbs of Chicago, is recruiting for the position of Chief of Minimally Invasive Surgery, Bariatrics, and Community General Surgery. The MIS program is integrated with Loyola's Digestive Health Program, a comprehensive, multidisciplinary initiative.
Requirements:
- Leadership in minimally invasive surgery with experience in advanced minimally invasive procedures and endoscopy.
- Bariatric surgery experience is preferred.
- MD or DO, board certification in general surgery by the ABS.
- Advanced training or fellowship in MIS, with credentials supporting an academic appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
- Illinois state license required by the time of hire.
- Prior leadership and program development experience, with fiscal and administrative responsibilities demonstrated.
- Strong commitment to resident and medical student education.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills; commitment to diversity and inclusivity.

Recruitment Package:
- Competitive compensation between $159,000 and $985,945 based on experience and academic rank.
- Benefits include Trinity Health benefits, paid time off, malpractice coverage including tail, relocation reimbursement, CMEDays and Allowance, and additional benefits from LUCor VA if applicable.
