The Physician will provide Emergency Room services at Winn Army Community Hospital (WACH) at Fort Stewart, GA. Services may also be rendered at other clinics on Fort Stewart.

Responsibilities:

• Examine, diagnose, stabilize, and treat urgent and emergent conditions.
• Prepare and review case histories and clinical records, ensuring completion before shift end.
• Examine patients and determine requirements for laboratory, radiologic, and other tests.
• Interpret test results and evaluate examination findings. Prescribe necessary treatments and procedures.
• Manage emergency services, formulating plans and procedures accordingly.
• Coordinate emergency services with other medical activities and consult with specialists as needed.
• Provide consultative advice to clinical rotators and residents on diagnosis and treatment methods for emergency conditions.
• Perform and document emergency procedures such as endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, central line placement, ultrasound procedures, incision and drainage, suturing wounds, and chest tube placement.
