Overview :
Drive vehicles with capacities under three tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Drive truck into position to load at filing rack.
- Transport to customer premises.
- Open valves or start pumps to fill tanks, read gauges or meters, and record quantities loaded.
- Connect hoses to tanks, open valves, record delivery amounts, and issue tickets to customers.
- Attach ground wires to trucks.
- Perform tasks as specified in the NSB Contract for the fuel division.
- Climb fuel storage tanks to measure holding tanks.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes.
- Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles.
- Obey traffic laws and follow transportation procedures.
- Verify inventory loads against shipping papers.
- Maintain records like vehicle logs, cargo records, or billing statements per regulations.
- Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs.
- Report mechanical issues encountered with vehicles.
- Use and maintain tools and equipment on commercial vehicles.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.
Education and / or Experience :
- Preferred: 1 year of dump truck experience.
- Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have previous experience or training operating this type of equipment.
- Experience operating multiple types of equipment is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Knowledge of equipment around ground personnel.
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages; interpret drawings and schematics.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, memos, and correspondence.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :
- Valid Drivers License with CDL certification.
- Airbrakes, Hazmat, and Tanker CDL endorsements.
Security Clearance :
Must have or be able to obtain a current US Government NACI and maintain it. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Physical Demands :
Must be able to occasionally stand, walk, sit, handle objects, operate vehicles and equipment, reach, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, communicate, taste, or smell. Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment :
Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, including snow, rain, and extreme weather. May involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, noise, fumes, airborne particles, or electrical hazards.

Pay :
$23.48 per hour with benefits.
