Position Overview
B&T USA is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and optimizing CNC lathe machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. This position requires a skilled individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Program CNC lathes using CAM software Fusion 360/Mastercam
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models.
  • Set up CNC lathe machines, including selecting appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials.
  • Edit and fine-tune programs at the machine to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure components meet specifications.
  • Monitor the machining process and perform in-process quality checks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining or programming issues independently.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and production teams as needed
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment by following established safety standards.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
  • High school diploma or GED required. Completion of a technical or associate degree program a plus.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience programming and operating CNC lathes.
  • Proficient in G-code and CAM software.
  • Experience with multi-axis lathes (e.g., live tooling, Y-axis) preferred
  • Proficiency in CAM software such as Fusion 360 preferred.
  • Understanding of machining principles, speeds/feeds, and tool selection.
  • Ability to work from complex engineering drawings with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative in a fast-paced environment and meet strict production deadlines.
Work Environment:
  • Work performed in a manufacturing machine shop environment.
  • Exposed to machine shop manufacturing elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to access and navigate B&T's facilities.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

On-Site - May be required to work weekends and after-hours as needed to meet production demands.
