Position Overview
The Department of Surgery at Keck School of Medicine and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks a surgical oncologist specializing in sarcoma, melanoma, skin cancers, and soft tissue malignancies.
Responsibilities
- Bring expertise in sarcoma biology and surgical techniques.
- Collaborate across disciplines including medical oncology, orthopedics, radiation oncology, and radiology within our multidisciplinary sarcoma program.
- Understand the relationship between surgery and immunotherapy for melanoma.
- Perform complex regional node surgeries, including deep groin dissection and local rotational flaps.
- Participate in multidisciplinary clinical decision-making and clinical trial design.
- Engage in teaching and clinical research, with opportunities at LAC+USC Medical Center and satellite locations.
Qualifications
- Eligible for or certified by the American Board of Surgery.
- Completed a Complex General Surgical Oncology fellowship.
- Eligible for a California Medical License.
