Job Title: Registered Nurse

Ability to float to Pediatric CVICU discussed during the interview
Description:
Facility has 247 licensed beds and is a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center.
It operates as a teaching hospital and is a certified Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center.
The unit comprises 24 beds and has an average patient census of 21-23.
Common patient types include those with respiratory issues, trauma, DKA, seizures, and various surgical needs.
Patients may also include those who have undergone transplants, face complex medical challenges, or have blood disorders.
Patient ratios vary depending on acuity: 2:1, 1:1, or 1:2.
Skills required include management of vasoactive drip titration, invasive line management, chest tube management, and CRRT experience.
The unit is supported by healthcare technicians, unit secretaries, charge nurses, phlebotomy, and respiratory therapists.
Monitoring is available both centrally and at the bedside.
Travelers may float to Pediatric CVICU, NICU, Neonatal PCU, or General Pediatrics as needed.
Scheduling includes rotating weekends and holiday expectations that require working 75% of holidays.
